SCOPE of WORK

The goal of the Mim's Houses Cornerstone Project is to ensure the landmark's legacy is maintained through critical infrastructure work and the construction of a new landscape design honoring the unique relationship between the Houses, the University of Oregon, and the broader Eugene community. The project includes the following specific components with hopes for permitting and implementation by Spring of 2026.*

CONSTRUCTION

Rough estimates provided by Rainbow Valley Design & Construction:

  • Rebuild Front Porch & Balcony pending

  • Repair Siding & Railings $36,000

  • Window Restoration $7,000

  • Stabilize Foundations $152,000

  • Roof Replacement $21,200

  • Gazebo $40,000

  • Electrical Upgrades $17,100

  • TOTAL: ~$300,000

LANDSCAPE

Rough estimate for Landscape and Infrastructure is approximately $200,000

  • Hardscape Reconfiguration

  • Permeable Paving

  • Native Plantings

  • Edible Plantings

  • Walk and Pathway Rebuild

INFRASTRUCTURE

  • Replace Drainage & Stormwater Piping

  • Modify Grades

  • Stormwater Management


* In most cases, these upgrades apply to both homes on site
